We are so excited to announce our programs for Spring 2012!

Spring Course Guide:

(March 3rd – May 26th 2012)

Introductory Arabic
An introduction to the Arabic language for adults. A brief module on reading will be followed by basic vocabulary and sentence structure.

Saturdays, 6-8pm.

Islamic Art & Calligraphy
Learn about Islamic Art and Calligraphy from historian and master calligrapher, Elinor Aishah Holland.

Begins April.

The Genealogy of Muslims in America

This course will explore important aspects about Muslim American identity, specifically, Islam as a religion, the idea of America, historical race relations, immigration, and culture & converts.

Special attention will be given to student questions and concerns.

Saturdays, 4-5:30.

Children’s Spring Course Guide

Arabic I for Children
An introduction to the Arabic Language for children. Alphabet, basic words and greetings are learned through interactive activities.

Saturdays, 4-5:30pm. Ages 5-10.

Arabic II for Children
Basic sentence structure, how to ask a question with a response,
intermediate vocabulary.

Saturdays, 2-3:30pm.

Physical Training Spring Course Guide

Yoga
Schedule TBA

Okinawan GoJu Ryu Karate Do
Taught by master Kow Loon (Kayo) Ong.
Female section available upon request

Mondays and Wednesdays, 6-8pm

Capoeira
South American and African culture come together in this fun Martial Art. Work up a sweat to get in shape once a week in this awesome class!

Tuesdays and Fridays, 6:30-8:30pm
