“(The experience) completely changed my perspective on Islam…This experience was invaluable to me and I think this was largely because of the open nature of the discussion we had.”
-Sam Fuller, St. Luke Student, ’12.
“I have never heard anyone speak so eloquently about their faith. The talk was incredibly engaging and gave me a different perspective on a lot of things and more importantly about the presence of the Muslim community in NYC, post-9/11. Unfortunately, the presence of Islamaphobia still exists in many parts of the U.S. today as a result of September 11th, but I’m happy to see that Park 51 serves to educate and welcome community members with a desire to learn through dialogue and differences.”
-Elizabeth Elena Garcia, UCSD ’13 Communications/ Political Science
