The new Park51 internship program aims to provide a small group of highly talented students who possess exceptional ability and ambition opportunities to develop key skills in developing organizations. It is expected that interns will benefit society through their work both during and after their time at Park51.

We are offering two internships for Spring 2012.

Journalism Program Intern:

The primary responsibilities of the Journalism Program Intern will be to assist the development and direction of Park51’s Journalism Program, which will feature:
1) a weekend workshop for professionals in Journalism in late summer,
2) a robust newsletter, and
3) the production of a few written works, from beginning to end, regarding all aspects.

The intern will have an amazing opportunity to develop skills and life-long relationships with influential academic, community, and industry leaders. A highly successful intern will be offered employment at Park51.

Summer Education Intern:

The primary responsibilities of the Summer Education Intern will be to assist the development and direction of Park51’s summer education program (featuring Arabic studies and other classes relevant to the mission) from beginning to end, regarding all aspects. The intern will have an amazing opportunity to develop life-long relationships with influential academic, community and industry leaders. A highly successful intern will be offered employment at Park51.
